Connecting your community using the Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme (GBVS)

The Government is providing voucher funding for people experiencing slow broadband speeds in rural and remote areas.

Vouchers worth up to £1,500 for residential homes and £3,500 for businesses help cover the cost of a registered service provider installing gigabit broadband to your door.

Working with local communities to maximise the benefit of government connectivity grants

WeFibre has been specifically designed to unlock all the benefits of the government's Rural Gigabit Connectivity programme, in turn ensuring they help local rural communities get future-ready with Hyperfast Broadband

We Plan

We aim to be the first FTTP network for residential and business premises in the towns where we build.

We Build

We use the existing ducts and poles when available and build our own infrastructure to cover 100% of the premises.

We Connect

When your premise is passed (live), you can order Internet services of 10,000-Mbps.

About the scheme

If you and your neighbours are not included in any commercial rollout plans for Gigabit Broadband, you can create a community scheme that can apply for voucher support. To do this you must go through a registered supplier such as WeFibre. By registering interest, WeFibre will assist you through the process.

2

Once there is enough local interest, we'll create a project and submit it for funding

The WeFibre team will complete all the relevant applications to begin the process of supplying your community with gigabit broadband.

3

DCMS will email you to confirm that you wish to proceed with WeFibre

You should action this quickly to avoid losing your voucher.

Once DCMS approve the voucher, WeFibre will be able to build the infrastructure to deliver your Gigabit Broadband service.

4

A member of the WeFibre team will get in touch arrange an installation date so we can connect you to our awesome gigabit broadband!

On that date, our engineers will arrive, install and test your new broadband connection. Once we are happy it is complete, we'll inform DCMS that you have been connected.

5

You will receive an email from DCMS to check your service is live.

Once you confirm with DCMS that your service is installed and working, WeFibre is paid the voucher fund to help offset its cost to build the infrastructure for your community project.

It's as simple as that!

All that is left is to sit back and enjoy everything your superfast broadband service can provide you, safe in the knowledge that your installation costs have all been covered by the DCMS Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme.

All you will pay for your ultrafast 1Gbps internet connection is a simple £20 per month!
