Community Connections

Supporting the communities where we work

Our expert engineers have been working hard to get communities across the Northumberland, West Yorkshire, Cumbria and Wales connected. But it’s not just homes and businesses that need hyperfast, full fibre broadband.

Free broadband for community hubs

We’re connecting local libraries, village halls and community centres to our network for free. There are no monthly bills to pay. It’s our way of giving back to the communities and customers who’ve supported us since we started.

Get your community connected

We’ve installed free Community Connections in towns and villages across Cumbria, West Yorkshire, Northumberland and Wales. If you know a local place or community group that could benefit from free fibre broadband, get in touch.

Two of our Community Connections

These are just two of our Community Connections. You can find more on our Locations page.

Haydon Bridge Community Library

Haydon Bridge Community Library is a small community run library in Northumberland. As well as a wide selection of books for children and adults, they now have a fast, full fibre broadband connection which staff and locals can use to get online.

As a hub of the community, we were delighted to get them connected for free.

Newbrough Town Hall

Situated in rural Northumberland, Newbrough Town Hall is the centre of activities in the village and the surrounding area. From bowls and badminton to community events and quiz nights, the hall is a hub for all ages.

With a free, fast fibre connection from WeFibre, volunteers were able to cut costs and provide better services for both locals and visitors.
